We loved the little town of Skaneateles when we happened upon it at Christmastime. It's the town that hosts a Dickens Christmas every weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas and we loved it. We thought we would go back, maybe find a Christmas tree ornament to remember it by. It was a cold, rainy day, but hey, we went for it anyway. We love our P-Days, and are trying to see most of what we haven't yet before our time here comes to and end. (Which is happening way too fast if you were wondering) But we love this countryside and the wonders that come with it. We had the chance to visit the Harriet Tubman home. We were there on a Monday and everything in New York closes on Monday so we didn't get to go into the visitor's center or the home. But that's okay! Harriet Tubman was amazing. And a hero to so many!
We also had our last District Council before transfers and so the Elders and Sisters wanted to have a potluck waffle bar after. We always have lunch together but everyone just brings their own lunch. This was fun. We have done it just once before and that was back in January. We had 5 waffle irons going and had all the toppings that were so yummy. We had strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, chocolate chips and Nutella, jams and syrups and whipped cream. It was pretty much a feast!

We have loved our morning walks. The weather is starting to warm up again and so we find ourselves sweating a bit. Mornings seem so peaceful. We are surrounded by flowering bushes and flower gardens everywhere. But, of course, I love every minute of it.
We had the chance to go to the temple of Friday evening with Elder and Sister Connolly. They are office missionaries and we just love them. We carpooled together and ate Subway sandwiches on the way. We had a beautiful time at the temple. We actually sat next to Sister Cooper, assistant to the Matron. Afterwards, we had the nicest chat with her in the hall. We also had a chance to visit with the Myers, who are temple missionaries. It's amazing how you get to know these people when you have the chance to go often.
On Saturday, we went to help the Joneses get ready to move. They had a bunch of stuff they wanted to move to either their storage or into the garage of the home they are moving to. Dave Morgan was there and it was fun to watch these three guys remove the trailer, push it over to the house, then back the truck up and hook it back up, rather than backing the trailer up. Whatever works, right?
On Saturday afternoon, we had our ward BBQ. Of course, it was raining so they cooked the burgers and dogs outside and we had everything set up inside. There were tons of sides and desserts that you could choose from. I get a little picky on potlucks. I made my famous (or infamous) baked beans and chocolate chip cookies. Needless to say, I didn't have any leftovers to take home. The kids played some games outside after the rain had passed and everyone had a great time.
Sunday was Father's Day. It was a good day. Church was great and Mike and I were in charge of the Father's Day treats. They turned out great and I think all the guys really liked them.
The days just keep rolling along. We feel so blessed. We love being missionaries for our Savior. We love the young missionaries and look forward to grand adventures with them. We love teaching from the Book of Mormon and we love being able to serve in our little struggling ward. Thank you for your love and support. We feel your prayers. Know that we love our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so very thankful for Their love for us. We know they live, that they love us, and that Jesus Christ stands at the head of this church. We love President Nelson, his counselors, and the Quorum of the Twelve. We pray for them everyday. We pray for you as well. Have a beautiful week!
